Filia in the Mahou Shoujo AU! I thought it would be funny to make her the mascot character, not realizing just how much of a pain in the ass her weird dragon form would be to draw. RIP me.

(otoh I have trouble drawing the Slayers characters in general. Seems to take some time before I can find a way to translate their general designs/vibes into my style in a way I like.)

Anywho. In the AU Lina's a high school freshman living at home by herself, as her older sister is off at college and her parents are on a weirdly prolonged fishing trip. Y'know how it is for weirdly unsupervised anime kids.

Since Lina has to study hard to keep her grades up at the prestigious school she's attending and she used to leave most of the housework up to her parents and big sister, keeping the house in order and making sure she has lots of food to eat without blowing her allowance on eating out all the time is pretty hard for her! And then Filia shows up and is suddenly trying to cut into Lina's free time MORE by making Lina fight monsters and things.

So they wind up striking a deal wherein Filia becomes Lina's housekeeper, which is v nice for Lina and means Filia has a cover story for who she is and why she's hanging around Lina so much. Although keeping up with Lina's appetite is pretty difficult...
